JULY/AUGUST 2018 ISSUE
FEEDBACK
I just wanted to say that I absolutely love my Artists Are Always Right sweatshirt! It's too warm to wear it in Maine
yet (for me), but cold weather is coming! Thank you!

Sarah M.

I live very near the Greenbrier River in West Virginia. You captured the mood of the river that I know so well in the
June issue. I've seen it that way. Great job!

As a new subscriber; I recently saw the Spotlight about Karen Schwartz (March 2018 issue). Her story and art are
inspiring!

I was curious enough about the Evergreen Keepsake shown in her spotlight that I checked it out on the
EvergreenKeepsakes.com website. I plan on ordering one for my sister's October wedding.

If artists were really always right, they would all be driving Rolls Royce's and eating filet mignon three meals a day.

Harry M.

(Editor's reply: First of all…to quote John Netherton, once again…"Our rewards are the sunrises in the mist."
He never mentioned driving a Rolls Royce as being a reward. Secondly, being a vegetarian for over thirty years,
I personally wouldn't want to see or smell filet mignon, let alone eat it! The true rewards of any artist will, in my
opinion, never be directly tied to monetary gain. Artists are far more important than that!)

As a reader of Artists Are Always Right from the start, I'd like to say that I enjoy reading your personal accounts
as an artist in the Spotlight feature. Your stories are so interesting and your photography is excellent! Keep up
the good work!

Erica S.

I'd like to offer two suggestions for your top-ten movie list…"The Wizard of Oz" and "Gone with the Wind."

Wendell A.

(Editor's reply: I can't argue with you on your nominees. Great films, both!)

As a literary artist, I know how important persistence is. It is far easier to find an excuse not to write, than to
do so. But the rewards for persistence far exceed the effort!

Emily R.

I read other art journals. Many are too commercial…and boring. Artists Are Always Right is refreshingly new.
Thanks.

Carol A.

I'm just curious. How about showing other artists work in the Spotlight? (I'm a poet).

Frank P.

(Editor's reply: If you're a poet, why not share your poetry with others? That's the original purpose of the
Spotlight feature. Check out the information on the Submissions
page. Hope to hear from you soon.)

I love the photograph of Otter Cliff in Acadia National Park by Douglas Schwartz. Where can I purchase a
print?

I've seen a lot of photographs and paintings of Otter Cliff over the years, but the one that you published in
Artists Are Always Right is my favorite.

William H.

(Editor's reply: My fine art prints and those of my wife, Karen, are available on our website,
SchwartzNaturePhotography.com)
